  • By Car:

    Make sure you plan your route and leave enough time to get to Temple Island Meadows during Henley Royal Regatta.

    Please do check your route as Henley Royal Regatta has a one way system in place along Remenham Church Lane and Remenham Lane.

    Entry to Temple Island Meadows is via Remenham Church Lane, off White Hill/A4130 at the top of the hill until 4pm, after which time it is via Remenham Lane, turning off White Hill/A4130 at the Little Angel pub at the bottom of the hill.

    Please note this postcode will take you to the top of Remenham Church Lane, you will then be in the one way system, so please follow the signs carefully to your gate.

  • By Foot:

    The perfect way to see the whole event.

    Stroll along the official Regatta course between Henley Bridge and Temple Island Meadows.

    The towpath gives you easy access to the Regatta and you are able to walk the entire course from the Finish to the Start. On busier days, especially Saturday, we do suggest taking the river taxi as you still get to see the whole course and it is much quicker!

    Please see Hobbs of Henley to book river trips.

    Please allow 45 minutes on week days and over an hour on Saturday to walk from Henley Town to your enclosure.

  • By Train:

    Arrive on schedule and let the train take the strain.

    The nearest train station is Henley-on-Thames.

    Henley train station has links to London and Reading. You can book tickets for national rail here .

    From Henley train station you can board a River Taxi at Hobbs of Henley, which is a 2 minute walk form the station. Click here for more information.

    It is one mile to Temple Island Meadows from the town centre. You can walk along the tow path all the way from Henley to Temple Island Meadows.

    Operated by Hobbs of Henley

    Immerse yourself in to the rowing action, avoiding the hustle and bustle of the crowds as you sail down the Henley Royal Regatta race course on board a Hobbs River Taxi.

    Board your taxi from Hobbs of Henley Pier 3, just minutes from the train station, and sail down the course of the Regatta to just beyond the Start at Temple Island Meadows. Passengers can board and alight from either point. The journey takes approx. 30-45mins. At Temple Island Meadows you are only 1 minute away from the Start Area . With a public grandstand, it's the perfect spot for lunch, afternoon tea or a summer Pimms. A few minutes further and you pass the Hospitality Enclosures and then arrive at the famous Barn Bar Garden , the largest public bar on the course with live music throughout the day.

    We would recommend that you pre-book your round trip river cruise or single trip to your Regatta destination in advance.

  • By Taxi

    Driven to the venue by taxi or Uber .

    There is a dedicated taxi pick up and drop off point located by Chinawhite, - at Gate A.

    If you are arriving or being collected by a taxi, you will need to advise your driver on the specific enclosure and which Gate (either A or B) to come to.

    Registered taxis are permitted into the car parks free of charge if dropping off or collecting guests.

    Taxis are permitted to Rank at the Taxi pick up area.

    CHARTER A HELICOPTER FROM ANYWHERE IN THE UK DIRECT TO TEMPLE ISLAND MEADOWS.

    Avoid the traffic and arrive in style by helicopter, direct to Temple Island Meadows during Henley Royal Regatta. Our Helipad is situated close to the event, and transport by courtesy car is available on arrival.
